Aims and Scope
Social Computing Research (SCR) aims to publish manuscripts that report on the social computing, human-computer interaction, and social behaviour studies.
It is n line with technological developments, social changes, and the complexity of modern society; besides the social computing studies helping to understand social interactions in the digital era, predict social behavior, and support better decision-making for stakeholders, the studies also help in designing more inclusive and ethical technologies, and addressing complex social problems with interdisciplinary and innovative approaches.
Thus, this journal covers the the exploration and examination studies around the way people interact with and within computing systems, and the design and implementation of systems that support and mediate these interactions for understanding and improving human-computer interactions in social computing contexts, including:
- Social Media Platforms;
- Collaborative Systems;
- Online Communities;
- Crowdsourcing and Collective Intelligence;
- Social Network Analysis;
- Human-Centered Design;
- Ethical and Privacy Considerations; and
- The other social computing related issues.
Social Computing Research (SCR) accepts articles within the quantitative, qualitative and mixed methods. The journal publishs several article types, including: the full research paper, review article, theoretical paper, methodological paper, case study report, perspective article, commentary letter, or the short communication report.
